    Message from the Principal

    Mr Morne Marx

The term is in full swing, and we have a month of schooling left for the year. This year has proved to be an uninterrupted academic year and therefore we are comfortable that our learners will be well prepared for the final assessments of the year. In between all the sport and cultural events, our staff, learners, and parents are all hard at work preparing for the exams. I would like to encourage parents to keep supporting their kids’ academic activities in a positive way.

I would like to reiterate the importance of your attendance at our AGM on 15 November. Please avail yourself for this important meeting where 2022 will be discussed. Arrangements for teachers to look after our children on the night will be in place.

I would also like you to take note of a few other important dates in the next month:

    • 15 – 24 November: Exams
    • 29 November: Inter-House swimming gala (Gr 2 – 7)
    • 1 December: Inter-House cross country (Gr 1 – 7)
    • 3 December: Inter-House soccer and netball (Gr 1 – 6)
    • 7 December: Valedictory and Intermediate Phase prizegiving
    • 9 December: Foundation Phase prizegiving
    • 10 December: School closes at 11:30. (Staff development)
    • 15 December: Gr 1 – 7 collection of reports. 6:40 – 8:40.

What is the best way to help your child prepare for tests, exams and assessments?

    Facilitate and teach proper planning:

    • a timetable/schedule to accommodate special study times
    • a quiet place to learn
    • equipment for learning – a desk and chair, paper, coloured pens etc.
    • avoid family get-togethers as far as possible over exam time.
    School Fees

A sincere gratitude to all our parents that are keeping up to date with school fees. I would like to encourage parents to honour their financial commitments as the running costs of the school is still ongoing. Please communicate with us if you are experiencing financial difficulties regarding school fees.

    Grade R

It is with lots of excitement that I can announce that Bryanston Primary School will start their own Grade R in January 2022. Applications for Grade R is open. There will be a walk through the facility every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 – 10:00 facilitated by myself. I wish you all a safe weekend and a fruitful week.
