    Message from the Principal

    Mr M Marx

Welcome back to the last Term of 2021. I sincerely hope that our learners, teachers, and parents are well rested and ready for a jam-packed term.

    • Our extra murals have started, and we are getting ready to participate in our first matches and galas next week. At the latter stage of the term, we are also planning to host our Inter-House swimming gala, Inter-House cross country as well as our Inter-House soccer and netball.
    • Valedictory and phase prize-giving’s are also planned at this stage to take place later this Term. In class we are busy preparing for our final control tests that will start on Monday 15 November.
    • I would like to invite all parents to our AGM and budget meeting that will take place on Monday 15 November. See the official notification here.
    • With the president’s announcement of returning to Alert Level 1, it makes it possible for us to take individual photos this year. These photographs will be taken on Thursday 21 October. Learners are allowed to take photo’s in any recognized BPS uniform. They can either wear their formal summer or winter uniform, alternatively, they can wear their tracksuit for photo day (BPS grey and blue sports shirt and BPS tracksuit pants or shorts). Please ensure that your child is dressed in proper uniform and is well groomed. Please see the samples and price list attached with the ordering process. The profile of the learner included is a fake profile for advertising purposes.
    • Please note that 1 November has been announced as a Public Holiday, due to the local government elections.

I wish all our learners a successful Term and I would like to encourage our Grade 7 learners to enjoy their last Term at primary school.

“A great pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do.”- Walter Bagehout

JMPD have informed BPS that they will be doing spot visits to the school to monitor and assist with regulating traffic.

JMPD have also suggested that parents drive up Mount Street (if coming from Grosvenor), and turn into Cross Road (towards the gym) and then join onto Main Road to flow into William Nicol, if you need to get back onto William Nicol Drive.

There is a NO RIGHT TURN sign on Mount Street, on the island (coming from Grosvenor) that indicates that no cars coming from Grosvenor are allowed to turn right into the parking area. Please adhere to all road signs in order to assist with traffic congestion.

As we are moving into warmer weather and the rainy season, please ensure that your child has wet weather fear (umbrella/raincoat) in their bags each day.

Please ensure that you have read and understand the school standard operating procedures for the start of Term 1, in relation to COVID sanitation standards.

The document can be found on our Coronavirus Resources page.
