Message from the Principal
Welcome back to all our learners, staff and parents. Term 2 has started later than ever but we are ecstatic that we can still come to school every day. Our Grade 4 – 7 learners were treated to a fantastic study skill workshop this week and we sincerely hope that the lessons learned in these sessions will be applied by our learners in their studies. I am also very optimistic that this will improve our learners results and that they will find it easier to study in future.
The fact that we can now look forward to interschool sport matches is also a feeling that we have not had for the last 16 months. We are looking forward to a full, exciting term filled with learning and playing. Please take note that unfortunately no parent will be able to step foot on our school or any other school property to support the learners. We will keep parents updated as soon as there is any change regarding this matter.
Reports Term 1
Reports for term 1 will be handed to the learners on Monday 10 May.
Please assist us and ensure that all lockers that still have locks on are opened and cleared before Friday 14 May. On Monday, 17 May, our ground staff will be cleaning and disinfecting all lockers. Lockers that are still locked after Friday will be opened by the school. Further information regarding the use of lockers will follow shortly.
We would also like to encourage parents to ensure that our learners’ uniform is worn neatly and respectfully. We are entering the winter period and it is easy to fall into the trap of neglecting the neatness of our uniform. Please ensure that your kids wear the uniform with pride when they are in public and in shopping centres. At this stage there is a backlog in the supply of our scarves and beanies and we urge parents to stick to plain blue, black, or grey.
The Aftercare programme has resumed, and our parents and kids are very grateful for the routine that is created. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in sending your child to aftercare. Please provide the following details: Name, Surname, Grade. Alternatively, use the button below to make your enquiries.
A sincere gratitude to all of our parents that are keeping up to date with school fees. I would like to encourage parents to honour their financial commitments as the running costs of the school is still ongoing. Please communicate with us if you are experiencing financial difficulties regarding school fees.
I would like to take the opportunity to wish every parent and learner a wonderful holiday. May you find new strength to tackle term 2 and enjoy the time with family and friends.
It is with lots of excitement that I can announce that Bryanston Primary School will start their own Grade R in January 2022. More details will follow soon.

Mount Street Parking
There are still many parents who are entering the NO RIGHT TURN area on Mount Street. Please adhere to all road signals to assist with the flow of traffic. Please obey all instructions given by our security guards.
JMPD have informed BPS that they will be doing spot visits to the school to monitor and assist with regulating traffic.
JMPD have also suggested that parents drive up Mount Street (if coming from Grosvenor), and turn into Cross Road (towards the gym) and then join onto Main Road to flow into William Nicol, if you need to get back onto William Nicol Drive.
There is a NO RIGHT TURN sign on Mount Street, on the island (coming from Grosvenor) that indicates that no cars coming from Grosvenor are allowed to turn right into the parking area. Please adhere to all road signs in order to assist with traffic congestion.
We ask that parents follow this procedure for lightning and heavy rain. Please use the contact numbers for WHATSAPP ONLY if parents or transport companies are at the gate and they need learners to be sent to their respective dismissal points only when there is lightning or heavy rain.
No incoming phone calls will be allowed on these phones. This phone will not be used for any other purpose other than it’s intended use. It is only used for WHATSAPP messages during inclement weather.
WHATSAPP message should only have Name, Surname and Grade of the learner who needs to be sent to the gate (e.g. Joe Soap Grade 4A to be sent to the gate).
