Message from the Acting Principal
The last week and a half were a roller coaster ride for all involved at Bryanston Primary School. I am happy to announce that we are now having 99% of all our learners back at school every day.
The returning of all our grades brought challenges to the fore that are not new to Bryanston Primary. Our age-old traffic problems in Mount street are still in our midst. I would really like to thank all the parents for their patience during peak hours. We are alleviating some traffic congestion through using the Hedding field, however this is not always possible due to heavy rainfall and waterlogged fields.
In the last week we have realised the effect of COVID-19 on our learners. Most of our learners are struggling with being at school without a week break at home. We encourage our parents to motivate their kids to start balancing their time again for them to adapt easier when we are approaching normal life again. Please ensure that you limit their screen time as this will affect their ability to perform to their maximum potential.
A sincere gratitude to all our parents that are keeping up to date with school fees. We understand that it is an extremely tough year. I would like to encourage parents to honour their financial commitments as the running costs of the school is still ongoing. Please communicate with us if you are experiencing financial difficulties regarding school fees.
BPS is considering bringing Aftercare back soon. There is no definite date yet, but for planning purposes, we would need guidance as to the number of learners considering attending Aftercare. Logistics will be sent to parents once details have been finalised.
Please email email@example.com before Friday 26 February if you are interested in sending your child to aftercare.
Please provide the following details:
As a number of sports start opening their activities, BPS is investigating the most appropriate and safe ways to reintroduce extra murals. Further information will be communicated soon to parents.
